As a teaching hospital, St. Joseph's understands nurses' career development goals. In fact, with the help of our nursing staff, we have created the Career Advancement Rewarding Excellence Program (CARE) built to address those goals and reward our nurses for gaining new competencies and skills.

The CARE system gives structure to your goals, with four progressive levels defined by nurses themselves. This is a "by nurses, for nurses" program and just one example of the commitment St. Joseph's has made to recruiting exceptional nurses and listening to their needs. We also offer a Career Advancement Track (CAT) program for entry-level employees and Kids Care and Partners in Practice programs to offer clinical staff training cross-training opportunities outside of their chosen specialty.
