U.S. News & World Report routinely listed St. Joseph's as one of the nation's top hospitals. This is a reflection of our strength and leadership in several areas of expertise. For Arizonans, this means access to treatment of the highest standard. For our staff, it means the opportunity to build careers working with the best of the best. Our specialty areas include the following:

Barrow Neurological Institute: Recognized the world over for innovative clinical care, intensive post-graduate medical education and pioneering research, this Center of Excellence is a unique career opportunity to work alongside some of the most gifted medical and scientific professionals in the world on the absolute latest in medical technology. From Neurological Intensive Care to Rehab, the multiple care and treatment units that make up the institute offer a career opportunity with unmatched potential for learning, growing and advancement.

Our radiology division utilizes a PACS system and is approximately 90% digital in image transfer and archive. Our Staff has many opportunities to learn more about advancing technologies through hands-on experience and on-site continuing education.

Oncology: In December 2011, St. Joseph’s and The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) entered into an agreement to form an innovative collaboration in Phoenix. The two organizations created an affiliation – in collaboration with community–based oncologists - to transform the delivery of cancer care and establish a premiere center for ambulatory and inpatient oncology. Under the agreement, St. Joseph’s now serves as The University of Arizona Cancer Center in Phoenix’s primary inpatient clinical site. St. Joseph’s also provides outpatient clinical facilities, with eventual expansion of activities to an outpatient center that will be constructed on the downtown Phoenix Biomedical Campus. The vision of both organizations is to create an international model of integrated healthcare to fight cancer.
