Arizona Care Network (ACN) is a clinically integrated (CI) physician network and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) sponsored by Dignity Health and Abrazo Health, a Tenet company.  The Project Manager is an employee of MedProVidex, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dignity Health.

 

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Operations, the Project Manager (PM) is accountable for assigned project objectives. They define areas of responsibility including resource allocation, influencing sponsors and manage work prioritization. The PM plays an active role in making decisions involving resource assignments, prioritization, technical and financial requirements necessary to executive key projects and programs for Arizona Care Network. Serves as a senior level project management resource.

 

The PM is expected to work autonomously on projects and on tasks supporting the ACN Executive Director of Operations, and the entire ACN leadership team. Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrates team leadership while focusing on items that will have project outcome implications other than expected. The PM must have the ability to manage and maintain business sponsor relationships, and navigate political and process landscape.

 

The PM directs by exception and they are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the ACN team. The PM will be assigned to multiple projects, and will collaborate with ACN sponsor project managers as appropriate and necessary.

 
PRINCIPLES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the management of a process including related projects and resources as assigned.
  • Directs and consults with project team members, leadership in the preparation of project documentation, deliverables, product backlogs, milestones, resources, schedules and budgets.
  • Requires leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Responsible for driving and communicating status of project and/or product delivery
  • Solves conflicts and issues in a timely manner, escalating for resolution as appropriate.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Helps the team to continuously improve their processes.
  • Facilitates creation of the Project plans and establish timelines.
  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensures back-up resources are available for smooth project functioning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

A)           EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project & Word
  • Understanding of Finance, Accounting and contracting principles in relation to project budgets, purchasing and analysis of financial results and vendor relationships
  • Negotiation skills, Team Leadership, Communication for results
  • Decisiveness/Ability to make a quick assessment of the scope of an issue and provide options for its success and closure (provide risk assessment, resource requirement, ROM & ROI)
  • Ability to develop strategic business cases for departmental or project specific initiatives
  • Ability to work with little to no direction

B)            EDUCATION AND TRAINING:  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience required. MBA preferred.  Requires 5+ years’ experience in healthcare project management. PMP Certification a plus.

C)            SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

  • Must have the ability to manage business sponsor relationships, and navigate political landscape.
  • Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles in relation to project budgets, purchasing and analysis of financial results
  • Expertise in several technical domains (i.e. application development, network, database, and infrastructure) is strongly preferred
  • Decisiveness/Ability to make a quick assessment of the scope of an issue and provide options for its closure
  • Ability to develop strategic business cases for departmental or project specific initiatives
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project & Word as well as ZenDesk or similar ticketing system
  • In depth knowledge of Information Systems (software, hardware, network)
  • In depth knowledge of the architectural system components, business processes and applications to minimize the impact of changes
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information technology or healthcare sector
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Superior client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
